The design brief for a recent refurbishment of 5 Queens Rd called for a major upgrade to the building’s entry foyer and lift lobbies. Gray Puksand were commissioned to provide architectural direction, in conjunction with NDYLIGHT – to create a dramatic lighting solution for the space.
To deliver a coordinated aesthetic, the specifiers incorporated DARKON’s range of Timber Veneer accessories which can be nominated to be supplied on our extruded profile range. A Spotted Gum timber finish was selected to compliment the interior design and was also used in the feature joinery in the zone. This veneer was applied by DARKON to our custom suspended diamond configurations fabricated from MRS.T profile.
SLIM C Surface Mounted, also in a diamond and veneered format, was featured in higher level lift lobbies to great effect. Slim C pendants in a standard Black powder coat were also utilised as a functional lighting effect in the café area. Project Management by the builders, McCormack, resulted in an impressive overall result.
