CANBERRA CENTRE - MONARO MALL

Prime Minister, Robert Menzies, opened the original Canberra Centre, known as the Monaro Mall, on 6 March 1963, and at the time it was the first Australian three-storey, fully enclosed and air-conditioned shopping centre!

Now, after a massive redevelopment exercise and 18 months boarded up, Canberra Centre’s new precinct is open for trade once again.

The new section of the mall has become a beauty and wellness precinct, bringing more unique and specialty retailers to Canberra, while level one of Monaro Mall houses a lifestyle and homewares precinct.

DARKON products used throughout the entire common spaces in the new architectural design include SIEGE MAGNETO, SWARM SM and CHROME DOME.
